INVOLENTARY STOMACH DISCHARGER

Even though we live in a technological age, our society hasn't been able to eradicate problems such as poverty and criminality. The United European political order thought that taking strong action against criminals would make our streets safer, but this strategy has proved to be counterproductive and has led to many unnecessary casualties. It is a problem that can't be solved easily through brute force. Still it is every man's right to defend themselves and action must be taken. That is why Babel Research saw it as their duty to create non-lethal weaponry that could both be used by the police force as well as by the common citizen.

The existing non-lethal weapons such as stun guns and pepper spray were deemed to be unsafe for the human body and alternatives had to be sought. That is why in 2012 our eyes turned to the mythical brown note, an infrasound frequency that could cause humans to lose control of their bowels. Though our research found no evidence that the brown note existed, another discovery was made. We found that the combination of several low frequencies in the form of a high power sound wave made our test subjects experience nausea, without causing any lasting damage to their bodies.

After that a lot of effort was put into creating a portable weapon that could emit this nausea inducing sound to temporarily disable any potential offenders. In 2015 we finally finished the construction of a dome-shaped non-lethal sonic weapon and named it the Involentary Stomach Discharger (ISD). To our relief the coming of this weapon was applauded worldwide. Now Babel's ISD is the standard weapon of all police forces and is used by 31% of all citizens as a home defence weapon.
